Books that Convey New Ideas
The TOP BOOKS that I've found which support the 7 Success Tips, can be found BELOW.
Within categories, I try to find authors that are experts in a knowledge area. For example, if you are thinking about a career change, Dr. Diane Hamilton has written a book about it. If you are determined to be an entrepreneur, then you may wish to read, Dean Graziosi's The Underdog Advantage.
Suggesting books for you to consider reading is part of my Amazon affiliate role. I will expand these sections over time. Here are the current category groups that will grow in size over time, although I may occasionally prune them, too. You can click on a book's image and go straight to the purchase page in Amazon. In the end, you make the decisions, as always.
(A) Entrepreneurs and how they win - guides for organizing businesses; and biographies/autobiographies of entrepreneurs, such as Girl Boss by Sophia Amuroso. Sophia was a community college dropout, who created a fashion empire.
She shares something in common with Richard Branson, Tai Lopez, Bill Gates, and Steve Jobs. None of these extremely bright and competent individuals, who are huge successes financially, have a college degree. OK. What did they have, instead?
Here's a list of attributes that they all possessed: (a) innate and unending Curiosity, (b) previously acquired Skills on which a business can be built (sewing/design/programming), (c) Emotional intelligence, (d) Innovative ideas, (e) Qualities of Leadership, (f) Growth Mindset, and (g) the Willingness to work hard.
Certainly, every one of these individuals put in enormous hours to build their dreams. My conclusion is that college degrees don't guarantee an innovative approach, leadership, or the natural curiosity that drives it. What I've done is try to find books by some of these individuals, which explains what made their approach unique. You can also read about some of them in my books: The Geometry of Emotions & The Science of Success, Power Paths to Success, How to Launch Your Super Success, Law of Attraction Success Tips.
(B) Human Energy Body organization; What happens when there is an energy imbalance in the human body? How can energy balance be measured? How can illness and/or conflict follow? There are a host of authors, known internationally, such as Dr. Carolyn Myss, Dr. C. Norman Shealy, Dr. Barbara Brennan, Dr. Daniel Goleman, Dr. William Ury, Dr. David Lieberman, Dr. Vicki Monroe, Elaine McCusick, Dr. Beatrice Chestnut, Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. Joel Furhman, Dr. Diane Hamilton, Dr. Konstatin Korotkov, Dr. Mark Seem, Dr. Anthony Villodo, Dr. David Feinstein, Donna Eden, Anodea Judith, whose messages will appeal to many of you. Start looking at what it is to be human, as a constellation of energy centers that occupies an anatomical framework for this passage.
(C) Emotional intelligence that includes: (a) negotiating with others, (b) negotiating with yourself, (c) managing and chasing away destructive emotions to create conflict resolution, are all immensely valuable assets. This is especially true for those of us, who create or lead an organization, team, or family. Of course, that includes most of us!
Authors, such as Dr. Daniel Goleman, Dr. William Ury, Rev. Joel Osteen, Dr. Harriet Lerner, Dr. Daphne Rose Kingma, Dr. David Lieberman, Dr. Vicki Monroe, Dr. Henry A. Giroux, Dr. Carol S. Dweck, Dr. Diane Hamilton, Dr. Suzy Evans, Joe and Michelle Levey, and Napoleon Hill have wisdom to share on the integration of emotional intelligence into the search for success, as well as peace, and the leadership needed.
(D) Heart disease prevention [ even during Covid] remains a worthy public health focus, because heart disease is our number one killer (after Covid has receded), which links strongly to what we eat. It's our own American Heart Association that says the American Diet is "Death on the Installment Plan."
There are references, here, that everyone should read. It's your decision, of course! In my opinion, no adult or parent, should fail to read what Dr. Joel Fuhrman has to say. Coronary occlusive disease prevention and its cure are within your control in the vast majority of patients, if his advice is followed. As always, the decision rests with you.
Former cardiac surgeon, Dr. Steve Gundry has made some exciting investigations of what has happened to our fruits and vegetables as a result of soil depletion from industrial agriculture. The science of weight loss is rapidly changing, as well, and with over 50 percent of Americans now overweight, obesity is a public health enemy, linked to heart disease and diabetes.
The exciting development is that the roots and herbs/olive oil consumed by cultures with exceptional long lives have an effect on the number and kind of fat cells in your body. Early reports by users look promising, but these aren't FDA sanctioned medicines. Instead, they are part of 'diet and vitamins,' which we call supplements.
We all need to look at what researchers are finding. Again, you decide. Let me observe that I also worked as a Cardiac anesthesia doctor, and the work of Drs. Gundry, Fuhrman, and Dr. Oz should be reviewed. This is simply a reflection that people who care have watched nice people die from what they consume.
(E) Project books: how to tile; how to plant; how to paint, how to draw, how to fly - I'll build this section over time. In my judgment, self-esteem is tied to our abilities 'to do' various skills, which, in turn, builds our Growth Mindsets. I think that self-esteem and happiness are so strongly linked. I believe that actively doing and pursuing creative skills, which you enjoy, is incredibly healthy, if it brings you pleasure. The more skills that you acquire and truly master, then the stronger you become, which draws you to others with those skills. That kind of networking is extremely healthy.
(F) Acupuncture and energy medicine: We are way behind the rest of the world, but more and more, patients and families realize that acupuncture and other energy interventions (using tuning forks, meditations, and other methods) can help in many cases, although certainly not always.
Acupuncture has been shown to help reduce migraines, sore knees, even osteoarthritis pain, back pain, asthma, foot pains, and a host of other conditions. In a setting of a stable spine, the American College of Physicians now recommends acupuncture as an early intervention.
EFT Tapping (a meditation, which includes tapping on acupuncture points) has created a revolution in the treatment of PTSD (see The Promise of Energy Medicine by Dr. David Feinstein, PhD and Ms. Donna Eden.). If you don't know about Donna, then you are missing one of the great healers of our time. Thought to be dying of a vicious disease, MS, Donna was able to actually see her chakra energy centers.
She developed a series of exercises to normalize her chakras. She tells her story and explains the physiology of the meridians. The name of her book is Energy Medicine. Then, there is Tuning the Human Biofield, by Eileen Day McKusick. Eileen uses tuning forks to sense the outline and content of the human body's chakra energy fields. She also discusses how she has 'combed' these energy fields and the great decrease in suffering that she has witnessed in her patients.
(G) Innovative trends in education and teaching of the growth mindset. It is now clear that young children, even at a very young age, become trapped in their lack of belief in their abilities. In my books, I talk about the research that has showed that children exposed to 'stressors' in childhood can grow up to be four times more likely to have a significant somatic or psychiatric illness. [From the Adverse Child Event Study] The most severely stressed children die two decades earlier!
Adults without a growth mindset are literally chained to repeat the past errors. So, one of the reasons that drove me to write Law of Attraction Success Tips was because I understood the power of the Growth Mindset, because of Dr. Carol S. Dweck's book, Mindset. It was my intention to join the Growth Mindset to the Law of Attraction (LOA). This combination with the LOA is dynamite!
(H) The study of history has much to teach us, both within our culture and outside of it. We are not the only society that has faced great obstacles. Many years ago, in the 1960's, the world almost came to nuclear war, when Russia placed missiles on the island of Cuba, a scant 90 miles from Miami. Senator Robert Kennedy wrote Thirteen Days which described the evolution of this crisis.
It was Barbara Tuchman's The Guns of August, the history of the start of World War I, which President Kennedy studied, so that he did not put the U.S. or the Soviet Union in a position, where there was no peaceful solution possible.
Sometimes, economic history is critical to know. Attorney James Rickards wrote Currency Wars and The Death of Money, which are both worth your reading. I have some selections for you.
Finally, there is the seminal work, The Annunaki Chronicles by Zechariah Sitchen, which discusses the Mesopotamian civilization of the Sumerians. The Sumerians were the first 'modern' civilization on the planet earth. For example, they had universities, courts, and a health care system, which included a practitioner licensing system.
