Meet Chris and Sammy

An Emeritus Physician and Medical Scientist

Hi! I'm Chris Chase, and I was born in Burlington, VT to a U.S. Air Force Officer, Russell, and his wife, a librarian, Marjorie Dopp. We lived all over the U.S., and I ended up at the University of Vermont, where I majored in math with heavy concentrations in chemistry, physics, and history. After Medical School, I became an anesthesiologist. Still later, I had a series of NIH research grants and worked as a cardiac anesthetist for three decades. Eventually, I learned to fly and became an instrument rated pilot. A more detailed background is provided in the history segment of my books, on the home page.

In the last two decades of my 4-decade career, I developed a strong interest in medical acupuncture, which I used in a research clinic that I founded. From that experience, I discovered the Geometry of Emotions (GEM), which was peer-reviewed and published. When published in the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture's journal, it was the lead article, and the membership was sent an e-mail that the article was a 'high impact' article. So, this concept first appeared, in Medical Acupuncture Journal in August of 2018. So, my work is recent, cutting-edge research. What is the true Geometry of Emotions?

The GEM is all about how emotions can affect our health, and how our health affects our emotions. Within the GEM, I saw the 7 Virtues of SUCCESS, which are the attitudes and behaviors that lead us to health, wealth, prosperity, joy, and security.

To build these virtues, I developed a 14-step plan, BUILD-UP-BRIDGES. I decided that teaching the seven SUCCESS virtues and the 14-steps of BUILD-UP-BRIDGES should be the next purpose of my life. Here I am, willing to teach them!
